Mitt Romney has released his first video with Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate.
The 80-second web videois titled "America's Comeback Team," and focuses on the economy.
"These last four years have seen higher unemployment, declining incomes and crushing debt," the narrator says. "This cannot be the new normal. America needs a comeback. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan: America's Comeback Team."
Romney made the announcement Saturday that Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, would be the Republican vice presidential candidate.
The 42-year-old Ryan is known for his House GOP-backed budget proposals that focus on reducing the size of government and cutting the federal deficit.
"Over the years I have seen and heard from a lot from families, from a lot of those who are running small businesses, and from people who are in need," Ryan says in the video. "What I hear from them (lately) are diminished dreams, lowered expectations, uncertain futures."
